The very next play, he and quarterback Sam Ehlinger botched a handoff for another fumble. In a competition as tight as this one, it wasn’t an encouraging sequence.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton confirmed Tuesday that Bonitto injured "something in his foot" during the game, but "he's going to be all right" and expects him to practice Wednesday. “He’s doing fine," Payton added. "I anticipate him practicing tomorrow and this week. He should be in good shape.”

Last season with the Denver Broncos, outside linebacker Nik Bonitto embarked on a breakout campaign. It was one of the biggest storylines and highlights for the franchise who finally made the postseason after nearly a decade drought.
