The NBA postponed Thursday's game between the Hornets and Lakers because of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area that have claimed over 1,000 structures, including the home of Lakers coach JJ Redick.

The NBA and NFL are monitoring several massive wildfires burning across the greater Los Angeles area and the potential impact it could have on games this week in Southern California. Three major fires were burning in areas of the vast Los Angeles metroplex following two days of extraordinary winds.

The Golden State Warriors will face off against the Indiana Pacers in a cross-conference matchup on Friday's NBA schedule. Indiana is 20-18 overall and 10-6 at home, while Golden State is 19-18 overall and 9-8 on the road.

The second returns of NBA All-Star voting are in, and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks still leads all vote-getters. Just like in the first returns, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets leads all Western Conference vote-getters.
