After parting ways with Tom Thibodeau in early June, the franchise hired veteran coach Mike Brown on a four-year, $40 million deal. The front office also added veteran guard Jordan Clarkson and forward Guerschon Yabusele to strengthen the rotation.

Per SNY’s Ian Begley, the Knicks are still in the mix for free agent guard/forward Ben Simmons. According to Begley, New York cannot exceed $207.8 million in total salary, giving them enough space to sign a veteran to a minimum deal, and a rookie free agent.
