The Bulls have been waiting out this summer, hoping that Josh Giddey will eventually cave and take the offer they’ve provided. That deal has been reported to be around four years for $80 million.

Mostly by sheer (un)luck of the draw, Josh Giddey, Jonathan Kuminga, Cam Thomas and Quentin Grimes all entered restricted free agency in perhaps the worst possible summer to enter restricted free agency.

Most of that could be attributed to the restricted free agency of Josh Giddey. With the Australian point guard still seeking his ideal contract, there hasn’t been much reported movement on negotiations since the start of free agency.
