They are joined in Group A by Inter Miami and FC Porto, who face each other not long following the conclusion of this match.

Palmeiras and Al Ahly will clash in a Group A match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey on Friday. Al Ahly, which plays in the Egyptian Premier League, started the tournament with a goalless draw against Inter Miami. Palmeiras too began with a 0-0 draw, against Porto.
