Late-night television laughs at the lackluster showing for President Donald Trump's "big stupid birthday parade" as they contrast the sleepy VIPs, squeaky tank and drones being held aloft by soldiers to the millions that turned out across the nation for "No Kings" protests.

On Saturday, a military parade will end with fireworks to mark the Army's 250th anniversary, which also happens to coincide with President Donald Trump's birthday and Flag Day. The 'No Kings' protest are set to counter what organizers say are Trump's plans to feed his ego on his 79th birthday.

The Houston demonstration is one of several planned in the region throughout the day and is expected to draw thousands of protesters.
