Newly acquired Lakers guard Luka Doncic is donating $500,000 to wildfire recovery efforts in his new community.

Luka Doncic began the possible day of his debut with the Los Angeles Lakers by donating $500,000 to fire recovery efforts in his new community. The Slovenian superstar was listed as questionable for the Lakers' home game against Utah on Monday night.

Luka Doncic now has something to prove, though. The Dallas Mavericks do not trust his durability or conditioning. While a matchup against the lowly Jazz is not likely to accomplish much from an optics standpoint, he can still send a small message that his body is in working order by carving up the defense.
