Mexico removes barriers on USDA aircraft and equipment to support U.S. efforts against the deadly New World Screwworm, keeping livestock trade open.

The United States and Mexico reached an agreement on the handling of a damaging pest called New World screwworm, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said on Monday, after she threatened to limit cattle imports from south of the border.

Mexico has agreed to eliminate restrictions on USDA aircraft, and waive customs duties on equipment that is aiding in the campaign to prevent the spread of New World Screwworm (NWS).
