The Mainers left little doubt they were a better team, jumping out to an early six-run lead and holding on for an 8-6 victory Wednesday night at T-Mobile Park.

Josh Naylor and Julio Rodriguez homered and George Kirby pitched six quality innings as the Seattle Mariners defeated the visiting Chicago White Sox 8-6 on Wednesday.

Sox bats were quieted by Mariners starter George Kirby after that, until Mike Tauchman made a game of it off Seattle reliever Eduard Bazardo with a two-run homer in the seventh inning. Sosa followed up with his second solo homer in as many nights, a 410-foot blast to center that narrowed the gap to 7-5.
