Throughout the offseason, restricted free agency has been a massive headline around the league. The Bulls have arguably the best restricted free agent still available in Josh Giddey, but his value around the league varies greatly, and the Bulls have been unable to lock him down this summer.

Mostly by sheer (un)luck of the draw, Josh Giddey, Jonathan Kuminga, Cam Thomas and Quentin Grimes all entered restricted free agency in perhaps the worst possible summer to enter restricted free agency.

Most of that could be attributed to the restricted free agency of Josh Giddey. With the Australian point guard still seeking his ideal contract, there hasn’t been much reported movement on negotiations since the start of free agency.
