Teddy Bridgewater is nearing a return to the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said Bridgewater is visiting the team and the Bucs plan to sign him.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on Tuesday to add experience behind starter Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield, the first overall pick in 2018, has enjoyed a career renaissance with the Buccaneers after signing with the team in 2023. He was awarded a three-year contract extension worth $100 million the following offseason after making the playoffs in his first season in Tampa.
