It continues to be biggest issue for the Nebraska Legislature this year: closing $432 million budget shortfall for the next two years. Doing that could be hard on some state organizations.
Eric Carnes, an associate professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, said microplastics are "ubiquitous" in the environment and our bodies.
“We haven’t had a fire in schools, since the 1950s, so requiring a monthly fire drill seems a little too much in that particular area,” said Jason Mundof, Superintendent of Kearney Public Schools.
