Ryan Preece has walked away after a spectacular crash during the closing laps of the 2025 Daytona 500, going airborne and flipping down the Daytona backstretch and up the banking in Turn 3. Ryan Preece called on NASCAR to do more to prevent cars from becoming airborne during superspeedway races. Preece took another terrifying tumble at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, this time avoiding a trip to a hospital but nonetheless bringing safety to the forefront at the Cup Series’ most-storied track.
But Preece in the No. 60 RFK Racing Ford suffered the worst of the wreck, first going airborne and landing on Erik Jones’ No. 43 Legacy Motor Club Toyota before being totally upside down on the track. Eventually, the car barrel-rolled up the track and landed on its wheels in Turn 3.
