Yosemite is the focus of an updated winter storm warning issued at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday by the National Weather Service. The warning is valid from 11 p.m. until Thursday, Mar. 13 at 11 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning at 1:49 p.m. on Tuesday valid from 11 p.m. until Thursday, Mar. 13 at 11 p.m. for the Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

Forecasters warned heavy snow could make roads slick and reduce visibility, making travel in some areas "very difficult to impossible."
