Two years after earning the No. 1 pick and drafting Wemby, San Antonio will have their eyes on two players from Rutgers.
The NBA and its eras are often defined by rivalries, and the San Antonio Spurs will be at the center of the next great one. Victor Wembanyama and Cooper Flagg will follow in the footsteps of Wilt and Russell, Magic and Bird, and LeBron and Stephen Curry.
Getting the fourth pick is a blow to the Hornets faithful that expected Cooper Flagg to land in their laps, but it isn't a death sentence. Charlotte will still have the ability to add another talented piece to their core in the 2025 NBA Draft, and among their options, Edgecombe should be at the top of the list.
Two years ago, San Antonio won THE lottery and drafted Victor Wembanyama. Last season, the Spurs drafted fourth and took Stephon Castle out of UConn, who went on to win Rookie of the Year.
