New York Yankees fans are sending their thoughts and prayers to legendary pitcher Mariano Rivera following news that he suffered a pretty nasty injury that sent him to the hospital. It was former Yankee Roger Clemens who scooped the rest of the baseball world.

Unfortunately, Yankees Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera didn't come out of this year's game unscathed. Rivera tore his Achilles in the Old Timers' Game. He is known for his career longevity, which he attributes to his ability to avoid major injuries.
