Amtrak’s long-awaited NextGen Acela trains debut this week with faster top speeds, upgraded seating, improved accessibility and modern amenities.
The new Acela trains were built in the U.S. at Alstom's Hornell, New York facility and include components from 180 suppliers in 29 states.
On Aug. 28, Amtrak will launch its brand-new NextGen Acela trains, debuting the company's newest generation of high-speed cars. The rail company will roll out 28 larger trains through 2027, each offering upgraded amenities and increased capacity.
