TKO Group Holdings announced on Monday morning that UFC and Paramount agreed to an exclusive rights deal valued at more than $7 billion.

The meet and greet was at UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas nearly a year ago. In the luxury box of TKO Holdings, which owns UFC and WWE, were media luminaries: Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Disney’s Bob Iger and the future leader of Paramount, David Ellison, CEO of Skydance.

The UFC's shift from ESPN/Disney to Paramount will certainly shake up the MMA leader. Color commentator Joe Rogan, a long-time staple in the MMA community, appears to be sticking around for the forseeable future as one of the promotion's greatest assets.
