Initial autopsy results are in for a 20-year-old Southern University student who was taking part in a fraternity ritual off campus when he collapsed and later died, a source familiar with the case said.

BATON ROUGE, La. ( WAFB /Gray News) - A college student has died after allegedly participating in an off-campus fraternity ritual. Southern University student Caleb Wilson, 20, was allegedly participating in an Omega Psi Phi fraternity ritual where pledges stand in a line when he collapsed.

Caleb Wilson lost his life early Thursday morning after collapsing during what a source told WAFB was an “off-campus and un-sanctioned Omega fraternity ritual” at a local park.

A Southern University student died during a fraternity ritual, leaving the community in shock. Police are investigating as family, friends, and classmates mourn his passing.
