William Byron gambled on fuel mileage and won the Iowa Corn 350 NASCAR Cup Series race on Aug. 3 at Iowa Speedway. Byron pitted well outside the final fuel window, but a run of seven cautions in about 70 laps allowed him to save enough fuel and retain track position ahead of Chase Briscoe and Stage 1 and 2 winner Brad Keselowski.

Byron beat out Chase Briscoe, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Blaney and Ryan Preece to take his second checkered flag of 2025. Byron's win made him the fourth driver to win multiple races this season. All four of those drivers reside in the top five of the NASCAR Cup Series standings. Full NASCAR standings can be found here.

Byron's win is his first since the Daytona 500, and it also gives him the regular season points lead with three races to go
