The Cleveland Guardians traded first baseman Josh Naylor to the Arizona Diamondbacks this offseason. The writing was always on the wall, as the Guardians weren’t going to extend his contract and they usually trade a player with some value who is about to become a free agent.

New Diamondbacks first baseman, Josh Naylor, seemed very comfortable when he was introduced to the Phoenix media.

The Diamondbacks gave up Slade Cecconi and their Compensation Round B pick in exchange for Naylor, who hit .243/.320/.456 with 31 homers last season.
