"Dodie" Osteen, a Baytown native, was the widow of Lakewood co-founder John Osteen. She handled prayer duties and funeral at the church, the Houston Chronicle reported in 2016. She credited her faith with healing her through major health scares, including a bout of liver cancer, and even hosted a drive-by healing service outside the church.

Dolores "Dodie" Osteen, co-founder of Lakewood Church, has died at the age of 91, according to a statement shared by her son Joel Osteen.
