The revelation that Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Donald Trump that his name was in the Jeffrey Epstein files has focused fresh attention on the president’s relationship with the wealthy financier.
The lawyer, who represents victims of Jeffrey Epstein, said he believed the estate would turn the book over to the authorities if asked.

During Mr. Trump's first term, his labor secretary, Alexander Acosta, resigned following criticism of his handling of Epstein's 2008 plea deal when he was a federal prosecutor in Florida. Epstein served 13 months in a jail work-release program after he was originally accused of sexually abusing dozens of girls and young women.
The Wall Street Journal has also published an article alleging that Trump was among prominent figures named in the Epstein files.
