For the first time since 1958, the East Lansing boys basketball program can call themselves state champions. The Trojans took down Wayne Memorial, 66-46, in the Division 1 state title game on Saturday at the Breslin Center.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - East Lansing boys basketball capped off its state tournament run with a Division 1 state title. The Trojans dominated and took down Wayne Memorial with a 66-46 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Breslin Center.

East Lansing has another opportunity Tuesday when it heads to Mason High School for a Division 1 quarterfinal against Ann Arbor Huron. The Trojans will try to get over the hump in their third shot and get some redemption after losing to Huron in the quarterfinal round last season.
